Maersk Container Industry (MCI) is looking for a Junior Embedded Linux Developer.

As our new Junior Embedded Linux Developer, you will be part of our Software development team, where you will report directly to the Manager of Software development.

This role is more than just coding. Our junior developers use their passion to learn new tools and techniques and apply them towards identifying and delivering needed software solutions. You will learn software development principles and how to apply them through various development methodologies, including Agile development (e.g. Scrum).

The team works primarily on our new Integrated controller platform which includes connectivity. Furthermore, the team is responsible for maintaining and further develop new features on existing products.

MCI is located in Tinglev in the Southern part of Denmark. We have strong local roots but act on a global stage. At MCI, you will enjoy an informal and supportive atmosphere. Key responsibilities

As Junior Embedded Linux Developer you will be designing, developing, and testing new and existing software.

Furthermore, you will learn and participate in the following:
• Implement software modules, which interacts with a wide range of wireless technologies.
• Document code according to development standard
• Support other R&D colleagues, e.g., Test Engineers and Quality Specialists
• Contribute to ensure best practice in software development within the team
 

We are looking for

To qualify for our new Junior Embedded Linux Developer position, you need a master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar (Control and Automation, Communication Technology, Mechatronic, Electronics, etc.), some first relevant work experiences that we can build up upon and most importantly, a true interest and preferably experiences with Embedded Linux.

This includes first experiences within:
• Embedded software development
• C/C++, Python and Git
• Agile development (Scrum etc.)

On a personal level you are well-organized, structured and detail oriented. You enjoy working in teams and have an analytical approach to problem solving. You are naturally a good communicator and are able to communicate complex procedures to other colleagues. We expect you to have an open mindset, be willing to learn and share your best practices with your colleagues.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are a prerequisite. Knowledge of the Danish language is an advantage but not a requirement.
