Your key role will be to ensure the service provided by the guest relations team exceeds our guest’s expectations. You’ll also maintain and grow the relationship between the hotel, our VIPs and regular guests and support all of the above in resolving any issues that may arise.

This senior role will be working closely with the hotel’s General Manager and is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to take their career to new heights.

We’re looking for a Duty Manager who:

  • Possess a good command of English and has excellent communication skills.
  • Has experience using Opera and Unifocus or is willing to learn.
  • Is motivated by exceeding guests’ expectations and getting them to return for a second (or even 3rd) visit!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests with a smile, welcome drink and provide luggage service from the hotel entrance to stairs, storage and/or to the rooms. 
  • Ensure the smooth running, security, and safety of the hotel.
  • Inspect rooms, organize the garden, bikes, and lobby seating area.
  • Refresh water/welcome drinks station.
  • During peak moments support operational teams where needed. This can include:
    • Front Office service: phone calls, check-in, check-out, guide guests with room moves & bring VIP and or recovery amenities & card to rooms.
    • Housekeeping service between 17:00-21:00: last-minute baby bed, sofa bed or Twin/King bed changes, extra duvet, or amenities requests
    • Maintenance service between 17:00-21:00: follow-up technical issues reported by guests such as TV/remote, Nespresso machine, Green Point, A/C, mini-fridge not working, toilet not flushing, shower leaking
    • TOZI service: serve Room service, welcoming & seating guests, barback support
    • M&E service from 15:00: serve afternoon break, farewell & feedback, reset meeting room when finished. 
    • Meeting & Events mornings: double check room set-up, welcome meeting group contact, serve coffee, help with laptop connection, review day plan
    • Breakfast service: welcoming & seating guests, clearing & preparing tables, serving coffee/tea/juice, dishes.
