Then you might be our new Supply Chain Engineer. You will join Danfoss’ Residential Heating, Heating Solutions Division – a strong and growing business in a market where energy efficiency and urbanisation are key drivers. We have manufacturing facilities in more than ten countries, and sales companies and agents in heating markets around the world. Bridging product development and manufacturing Your primary objective is to successfully implement the supply chain setup for a new product in our factory in Nordborg according to the strategy. This means that you ensure both design for manufacturing and a strong overall supply chain design for mechatronic products. You develop assembly processes according to project needs and with deep knowledge of every parameter influencing product quality. Other responsibilities are:•Specify assembly and test equipment + order and run assembly and test equipment •Prepare basic data like e.g. bill of material, SAP BOM, routings etc. •Prepare work instructions and train personnel at the Nordborg production site •Responsible for running production •Ensure commitment in terms of assembly processes You become part of a highly dynamic and entrepreneurial project team where you help secure the lowest possible level of complexity delivering results on time, at cost and of the highest quality. Manufacturing and supply chain understanding + project management skills You hold a BSc. in material and production technology backed by solid hands-on experience as a production engineer or the like from mass/high volume production. Your knowledge of material properties, joining methods of different materials, assembly processes and testing of various product properties is second to none. A proven track record of working with DFMEA is a must as is your experience with and understanding of working with external partners/suppliers on a global scale. You are a strong communicator and team player possessing the cooperation skills necessary to develop solid relations across borders and cultures, and you are motivated by coaching and enabling others. When it comes to your assignments you have a can-do attitude and a creative mindset, persistently looking for possibilities to foster and implement new sustainable ideas within manufacturing.
