Would you like to join our team which will develop, fabricate and install the future standard offshore substation for our offshore wind projects? Join us and become Structural Engineering Manager in our department Substations Civil & Structural Engineering Management. Here, you will be one of our skilled engineers working with the design and certification of our substations as well as fabrication and installation. Together with your colleagues, you will represent substation engineering in our wind projects. We are responsible for the scope, time and cost for designing our offshore substations as well as for input regarding the technical requirements for the fabrication and installation contract. The department is part of Wind Power, which has 1400 employees and is one of four business unit in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area or in Skærbæk near Fredericia. You should, however, expect some travelling in Denmark and Northern Europe in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility As Structural Engineering Manager, you will refer to the project manager and be responsible for all matters pertaining to structural design, layout and interfaces to the electrical engineering manager of our offshore platforms. Additionally, you will coordinate the work between multi-functional teams from feasibility and concept studies to detailed design and follow-up. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: start up the engineering sub-project, lay down sub-project requirements and manage engineering contracts, time, budget, resources, quality and designs within the sub-project scope establish requirements for geotechnical and metocean reports, prepare jacket and topside design basis for engineering contractors and technical requirements for engineering, fabrication and installation tenders and contracts facilitate cooperation with third-party certifying agencies to obtain statements of compliance carry out HAZID and risk assessments inform project management of all significant technical issues, particularly risks, develop contingency plans and be in charge of management of changes in the design and fabrication phases close down the sub-project and prepare technical documentation of design, safety philosophy, inspection plan, decommissioning and abandonment plan as well as operation and maintenance manual. Your profile You hold a Master of Science or a PhD degree in Engineering within structural or offshore engineering. Moreover, you have extensive experience in designing and heading design teams within your field of expertise, and you also have some years of experience from other offshore projects, preferably within offshore wind or the oil and gas industry.
