Position Overview

The Spa Therapist needs to deliver treatments and therapies services up to the quality of standards settled by the hotel. Key responsibilities

  • Performs skin care analysis, treatments and therapies including Facials and body treatments.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the aesthetics field.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
  • Day to day responsibility for equipment, products, cleanliness, and hygiene of the treatment areas.
  • To be aware of all treatments offered and any promotions on offer at any given time.
  • Responsible for achieving sales targets.
  • Assist with demonstrations/events as required.
  • To maintain the stock at the correct level following set standards.
  • Follow all cleaning and sterilizing procedures set by the Head Therapist.
  • To use the correct quantities of products as specified by the manufacturer and not exceed.
  • Must focus on driving retail and homecare revenue as essential priority.
  • Responsible for keeping up the high standard of treatment and service.
  • Provide beauty treatments to guests using props and/or products.
  • Provide body treatments to guests using body scrubs, wraps, and/or hydrotherapy.
  • Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications (e.g., allergies, high blood pressure, pregnancy) before beginning service.
  • Escort guests to and from treatment rooms.
  • Arrange workstation, treatment room, and/or drapes, and check with guest to ensure guest comfort and safety throughout service.
  • Promote and sell spa/salon services.
  • Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools.
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstation and/or treatment room throughout shift, dispose of trash and dirty linens, and secure supplies and equipment at the end of each shift.
  • Monitor and stick to time schedule throughout the day.
  • Handle inappropriate guest behaviour by stopping service and informing supervisor/manager.
  • Maintain current licensure in service area.
  • Assist management in training, scheduling, counselling, motivating and coaching employees; serve as a role model.
Job requirements

Requirements

  • Beauty Therapy diploma or equivalent 
  • 1+ years’ experience in similar position in 4- or 5-star Hotels or a well-established Spa brand.
  • Excellent Knowledge of English Language (Greek & Russian Language is a plus)
  • Good knowledge of beauty products to be able to promote them to clients.
  • Excellent communication Skills
