We are strengthening the Trunk Team within R&D Quality Engineering with a skilled Software Developer. The job requires a highly organized person with excellent communication skills and experience of working with multiple stakeholders spanning different projects and activities. You probably have a broad experience from both the developer world, the IT world and the Continuous integration world. You should have a sincere interest in automating the compile, test and release process.
The Trunk Team
The Trunk Team provides tools, processes and methods to improve the operational performance of R&D. Configuration Management, Build Engineers and Developers work closely together to continuously improve on the Continuous Integration system and to improve on the DevOps awareness. The Trunk team is responsible for providing the build and test execution pipeline(s) where needed. The daily challenges include keeping up with the fast pace and at the same time delivery quality.
The role
As a Software Developer in the Trunk Team you will focus on the continued development of the R&D continuous integration and deployment infrastructure. This mean extending and integrating a number of key building block like Jenkins, Artifactory, MsBuild, VisualStudio into the build and delivery flows. Your responsibility together with the rest of the team, CM, Build Engineers and CM is to design, develop and maintain the system.
You
As a developer you must have the following core skills
- Extensive knowledge and experience in JVM based languages, Java and Groovy
- Extensive knowledge and experience of WEB technologies, especially REST
- Analytical with a high sense of quality
It’s a big plus if you also have experience of writing
- Jenkins and Artifactory plug-ins
- Powershell extensions (C#/.Net)
- VisualStudio integration (C#/.Net)
You are structured and organized with strong communication skills and enjoy working within a team towards common goals in a fast paced environment run on agile principles. You also have a high level of service mindedness and take pride in helping others to succeed.
