SKOV A/S - Software Test Manager

Are you passionate about software testing and want to take the lead ensuring excellent quality in our software deliverables during the software increments? For a new position we are looking for a Software Test manager to deliver world-class software testing.

The Test Manager is responsible for the overall system test strategy for all software development teams, ensuring that teams are conducting the necessary system testing needed to ensure high quality in software deliverables during the software increments. The Test Manager is also expected to take part in the practical test development. 

Key duties and responsibilities

• Managing Software testing standards, best practices and ensuring these are documented and implemented across software development teams.
• Managing test coordination between software development teams within the software increments, also regarding long duration tests.
• Ensuring quality can be quantified and faults addressed during the software increments. 
• Ensuring artifacts such as test plans etc. are kept up to date and communicable. 
• Ensuring that needed tooling, such as our software test center and related software, is maintained in alignment with department managers and that future needs are planned.  
• Understand and challenge the non-functional requirements on system level to ensure high measurable quality on system level. 
• Communicating current quality level for the ongoing increment, e.g. Weighted Defect Count and Test Coverage.
• Run test coordination forum to build knowledge across teams - make each other stronger, by sharing experiences across teams.
• Identify and flag areas of improvements for management to prioritize. 

Key challenges

• Maintain support for quality assurance activities that align to quality experiences.
• Deliver effective system testing outcomes against the pressures of time, cost, risk and quality.
• Build Quality into all aspects of SKOV’ Software increment deliveries by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
  
   

To be a match for the position you probably have

• Proven hands on experience with test development both on component level and system level.
• Proven technical leadership skills to guide others.
• Knowledge of product development including areas such as Product integrations, Processes, CI/CD including large scale automated testing.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, business level English is necessary.
• Courage to report and manage apparent conflicts of interest.
• Ability to demonstrate professionalism to support a culture of high-quality deliveries.
