RESTAURANT MANAGER ASSISTANT

If you have organisational skills and are tempted to manage a creative and dynamic team in a hotel restaurant or an “a la carte” restaurant, you are invited to join our team as an Restaurant manager assistant (m/f), whose responsibility will be:

• Planning, organising and supervising work in the shift, and ensuring optimum allocation of all resources according to the needs of the work process;

• Ensuring the achievement of expected quality, and work performance in the work environment in accordance with standards;

• Taking care of a proper flow of information, education, training and development of employees, thus creating a favourable working atmosphere in the department;

• Providing guest services in accordance with standards;

• Performing all operational tasks and work required for a smooth and high-quality performance of the service;

• Participating in the preparation and design of menus, dining and wine lists, and price lists for drinks;

• Organising and monitoring of ordering, accepting and storing beverages in accordance with standards;

• Participating in the creation of new sales products or services, and integrating modern trends into catering, as well as implementing and supervising sales promotion measures;

• Caring for the tidiness and appearance of the catering premises;

• Providing lawful and honest financial material management of the catering department;

• Caring for a safe and healthy stay for the guests;

Conditions for obtaining the position:

• post-secondary education in catering, tourism studies or another appropriate field, alternatively upper secondary vocational education + 5 years of working experience in a comparable position

• knowledge of the Slovenian language and/or English language, desirable knowledge of at least one of the following languages: Italian and/or German and/or Russian

• work experience in a comparable position (desirable international experience in a restaurant/restaurants of higher category)
