Job offer description
A pleasant small resort in eastern Slovenia, near the Croatian border, is looking for a manager with experience who speaks both Slovenian and Croatian. That includes:
- Managing and organizing the overall operation of the resort (accommodation, hospitality, marketing, sales)
- Coordinating and supervising employees’ work and assigning tasks
- Ensuring service quality and guest satisfaction
- Welcoming guests, resolving complaints, and ensuring an excellent customer experience
- Participating in the development of offers (tourist packages, events, farm experiences)
- Valid driver’s license category B is preferred
Job requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, tourism, resort, or hotel management
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a dynamic environment
- Experience with sales, marketing, and promotion activities is an advantage
- Knowledge of budgeting and operational management
- Problem-solving skills and ability to handle guest complaints professionally
- Fluency in English; additional languages are considered an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Office and hotel/property management systems
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and during peak tourist seasons
Nice to have
- Experience working in luxury, boutique, or eco-tourism resorts
- Knowledge of digital marketing and social media management
- Experience organizing events, retreats, or corporate gatherings
- Understanding of sustainable tourism practices
- Familiarity with booking platforms and channel management systems
- Additional foreign language skills
- Basic knowledge of food & beverage operations
- Experience in rural tourism or farm-based hospitality concepts
