Your most important tasks

As production supervisor coating, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the coating and blast hall. Together with a team of employees, you will ensure that the daily coating and blasting activities run smoothly. The coating and blasting process is very important in the production of the pieces we make!

More specific:

  • Coordination: you will coordinate all coating and blasting activities on a daily basis. You ensure that (strict) quality requirements are met.
  • Organisation: as a production supervisor, you are responsible for your staff and the management of the equipment, consumables and machinery (e.g. aerial work platform, extraction).
  • Managing: as a production supervisor, you will lead and motivate a team of industrial painters/blasters.
  • Planning: you will draw up a planning and, in doing so, you will be able to correctly estimate how many employees, which materials and machines are needed to complete the job properly.
  • Quality: you monitor quality and work and make sure they work according to the Inspection and Test Plan. You also think on solutions to problems.
  • Safety: you organise weekly safety tours and make sure your team is always wearing the right PPEs in the right place.
  • Efficiency: you ensure process efficiency and progress control.
  • Improvement: you solve operational problems and suggest improvements.

Reporting: you report to the production manager.

Job requirements

Our ideal candidate

  • Has knowledge and experience of coating and/or blasting techniques. Can read and interpret a technical plan.
  • Has a technical degree (Bachelor of Master)
  • Is willing to earn a NACE1 certificate within an agreed upon time.
  • Is familiar with quality controls, paint/gravel supply, mixing and blasting techniques.
  • Is always looking for ways to use equipment (work resources) more efficiently.
  • Cares about safety.
  • Has no fear of heights. All the constructions that we make are big and tall!
  • Is a problem solver when complications arise.
  • Can interact well with people and knows how to give instructions.
  • Has strong communication skills and is flexible (no 9 to 5 mentality).
  • Is hands-on and loves to roll up her/his sleeves.
