Job offer description

Would you like to join our team at the Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) department in Sandnessjøen?

Currently, we have a full-time senior specialist position available at the Helgeland Hospital, Sandnessjøen, which comprises approximately 70 beds across surgical, medical, maternity/gynecological, and rehabilitation wards.

The ENT department functions primarily as an outpatient clinic and doesn't maintain its own dedicated bed allocation, instead utilizing beds within the day surgery department. For emergency admissions, surgical bed posts are allocated. Presently, the ENT department consists of three senior specialists and holds a license for a resident doctor (LIS-lege). While the primary place of work will be in Sandnessjøen, occasional travel to other Helgeland locations may be required.

We foster strong partnerships with larger hospitals such as Nordlands Hospital in Bodø and the University Hospital of Northern Norway in Tromsø.

Situated amidst the stunning Helgeland coast, Sandnessjøen offers abundant opportunities for leisure and sports activities, along with a vibrant cultural scene. Nursery coverage within the municipality is extensive. As a central transportation hub along the Helgeland coast, Sandnessjøen Airport provides direct flights to Oslo and Trondheim, alongside connections via Hurtigruten, express boats, and buses to the railway.
