Control F is looking for a Manager mechanical engineering.

We are looking for a Manager, Mechanical Engineering Liquids. You will be responsible for proposing and managing the design of new mechanical systems involving new machinery for engineering and R&D purposes and capsule dosage equipment modifications for quality and productivity improvement, for implementing above systems and distribute them to the other plants worldwide and for giving technical advice to production and engineering people worldwide. You will also supervise the activities of the design engineers of the department as well as temporary design engineers and/or mechanics. Design activities (40%): To make proposals starting from high level concepts for mechanical improvements and systems, this in cooperation with Production, M&E and Q.A. people worldwide. To discuss these developments in R&D and with the potential users for approval of the next steps. After approval of the project, to drive the further development of these proposals from lab model to replication following the 5-phase development procedures. To manage, supervise and provide direction to the draftsmen during the detailing of the various designs. To partly define the control system requirements (PLC, PC, …) Implementation (35%) To purchase parts and/or assemblies and perform incoming Q.A. control of the systems To monitor and drive the mounting of the units together with the technicians and designers for evaluating the design, to feedback the learnings into next generation developments and to implement improvements in mounting, accuracy and cost optimization. To implement and debug the system in a production environment together with the department involved. To follow up and evaluate the prototype results and make necessary design corrections to meet the required standards To keep the system files updated when further modifications are introduced. Technology transfer (25%) To handle the final information package to the department involved and give the necessary training to the user To exchange technical know-how to M&E, Q.A., Production to solve mechanical problems and to support them in trouble shooting.

Profile:

You are a civil engineer or a PhD in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering or any related field. You have a solid experience in the field of process engineering or mechanical design acquired in the industry, a management experience is nice to have. You have demonstrated a solid knowledge of Office software and are an advanced Excel user. You speak fluently English, Dutch speaking skills are nice to have.
