Hydrographic Data Processor (positions expected to open from January 2027 onwards)
The Data Processor supports the acquisition, processing, quality control, and reporting of data for a range of technical projects. The role includes cleaning, structuring, and preparing datasets (e.g. noise removal, data reduction), applying interpolation, smoothing, and data binning methods, and contributing to the creation and analysis of digital models such as Digital Elevation Models (DEM/DTM). The position involves the use of specialized data processing software, identification and resolution of data inconsistencies, and ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
The position requires the use of specialized hydrographic data processing software and close collaboration with internal teams and external partners. Good communication skills, a basic understanding of project workflows, and a willingness to engage in continuous professional development are expected.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Basic understanding of data processing principles and quality control procedures.
- Familiarity with data cleaning methods (noise removal, filtering, data reduction).
- Interest in hydrographic and marine data (e.g. multibeam sonar, seabed mapping).
- Experience with data processing or GIS/CAD software is an advantage.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of project workflows and willingness to learn.
- Good command of English (written and spoken).
- Willingness to participate in training and professional development.
