Job offer description

Novo Nordisk A/S

Gladsaxe, 1 stilling

- Human Resources

- Denmark - Bagsværd

You now have the opportunity to join a truly dynamic and global unit where you can utilise your project management skills across geographic, cultural and technical boundaries. Things move fast in our unit, and the daily operation is dependent on cooperation with colleagues and external contract manufacturers all over the world. Now is your chance to be part of our exciting development. We are looking for a strong Project Manager who can set the direction and draw up the people strategy for our three new Assembly projects in Iran, Russia and Algeria.

About the department

CLM is part of Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply organisation and is responsible for Novo Nordisk’s outsourced drug manufacturing world-wide. CLM consists of around 300 employees with 50 based in Bagsværd, Denmark, 130 in Kaluga, Russia, and 120 in Koriyama, Japan. The primary role of CLM is to select, monitor and control the production handled by local manufactures in countries like India, Bangladesh, Algeria, Egypt, Russia and Japan. Furthermore, CLM is involved in the establishment of new production sites in countries where local presence is required in order to obtain market access – the three new projects are located in Iran, Russia and Algeria.

The job

As HR Project Manager you will be responsible for developing and designing the organisational set-up linking people, strategy and performance for the three projects. You will be the strategic sparring partner and development agent to the Programme Manager and together you will build an organisation with the right competencies, skills and behaviours. Since the three projects are all new, it will be your task to develop ramp-up strategies for the sites ensuring optimal balance between local hiring and capability building to experienced Novo Nordisk competences on site. In this process it will be crucial to liaise with local Novo Nordisk offices in Iran, Russia and Algeria regarding set-up and legal requirements for attracting and on-boarding of new employees.

An important part of your role will also be to develop a manning overview of which positions will be needed at the three sites within specific time frames and in this connection also develop a branding strategy for attracting the right people to the sites. Part of this task will also be to ensure that we have a training and on-boarding strategy for all three geographical sites. Another important part of your role will be to lead and inspire the project managers in the programme according to the Novo Nordisk Way – ensuring high engagement, high performance and in compliance with all relevant Novo Nordisk standards – for e.g. quality and business ethics.

The job will be performed mainly in Denmark with frequent collaboration with the local sites in Iran, Russia and Algeria. Business travel will be done as needed by the business and requested by the Programme Manager.

Qualifications

You hold a Master’s Degree within Business or social science preferably supplemented with a minimum of five years project management experience. You are skilled at building relationships and trust as well as managing different stakeholders’ needs in an international context. Preferably you have experience from an international environment, and you accept travelling to the countries an integral part of the job. You possess a strong drive to succeed and break through barriers, and your excellent interpersonal skills and flair for working in multicultural environments help you to succeed. In addition, you are a self-starter with high quality awareness and a disciplined approach to deadlines and standards, enabling you to reach your goals within given timeframes. The position requires a high degree of independence and seniority to manage in the regions involved, and it is expected that you can make autonomous decisions within the overall programme policies.

You are fluent in English both written and verbal, and your presentation and facilitation skills are of high standards.

At Novo Nordisk, your skills, dedication and ambition help us change lives for the better. In exchange, we offer you an opportunity to work with extraordinary talent and benefit from a range of possibilities for professional and personal development.
