As a fibre splicer working for Solutions30 UK, you will play a significant role in helping us achieve our mission of delivering full fibre to the UK We are building a better fibre future, which means you can be part of that defines your working day.
In your role as a fibre splicer, you will be responsible for all aspects of the splicing, testing, fault finding and documentation of the fibre network.
You will work within a team of two providing updates to the delivery manager.
The Fibre splicing and testing team plays a fundamental role in our ambitious plans to bring full fibre FTTP broadband to Peterborough and London. We’re looking for experienced fibre splicers to help us build the core spine of our client’s network to the very highest standards. • Extensive experience of fibre splicing and mechanical splices
• Extensive experience in interrogating fibre plans
• Fault finding and correction
• Preparation of blown fibre tubing
• Extensive experience of blown fibre bundles
• Experience working with Nodes and infrastructure in the underground and overhead networks
• Fluid with fibre industry standards and techniques
• Carry out area dynamic risk assessments
• Provide daily updates on work completion, including any network adjustment as built drawings
• Understanding signing, lighting & guarding requirements as per NRSWA specifications to ensure your site set up is compliant
• Reading and understanding client fibre path diagrams.
• Driving licence held for a minimum of 12 months.

• Confined Space medium risk (for manhole cabling works only)
