JOIN OUR BESTSELLER E-COMMERCE DEPARTMENT
You will be a part of a dedicated E-commerce team where we prioritize cloud-first solutions and a service-oriented architecture. You'll be joining a result-oriented, autonomous team driven by continuous feedback and knowledge sharing. We work in a flat structure, applying agile and DevOps principles to solve complex business challenges with innovative software solutions. YOUR ROLE
You will take part in developing backend solutions for BESTSELLER’s E-commerce business. The team is responsible for the central inventory services and integrations and supporting the operation of BESTSELLER’s marketplace business.
Being a member of the Development Team you are responsible for writing code, reviewing and testing, and maintenance of existing services. The Development Teams works with the Scrum methodology, and you will actively participate in all ceremonies – daily standups, planning, review and retrospective.

WORKPLACE:
Our team is based in Aarhus (Denmark) ,however, the role requires occasional travel to the secondary location (Amsterdam), approximately ten business trips per year.

YOUR PROFILE
You are a proactive and ambitious Backend Engineer passionate to join us on our exciting digital journey and contribute to boosting growth through digitalization. Furthermore, you thrive in an environment teeming with constructive feedback and positive energy. Furthermore, we expect you have the following qualifications: 

  • Experience in agile backend development (Scrum Framework) and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Experience with Java Spring Boot or another object-oriented language.
  • Solid understanding of distributed microservices – their architecture, communication patterns, and containerization.
  • Excellent English communication skills (official language at BESTSELLER).
  • Ability to work in an environment of active communication (intra- and inter-team).
  • Experience with a messaging framework (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure, Serverless, etc.).
