Safartica is a privately owned DMC, safari house and activity provider operating in the city of Rovaniemi, skiing resort of Ylläs and in Levi from December 2020. We provide all land services, including accommodation, transfers and our own nature activities such as snowmobiling from 2 hours to 1 week Expeditions, husky and reindeer safaris from 500 m to overnight adventures, Aurora tours, forest skiing, ice floating to mention few. We believe in individual, meaningful experiences and personal service and ongoing product, service and expertise development. THE COMPANY
Safartica Ltd. is dynamic, international, and young-at-heart safari company offering incoming travelers high quality travel services. Our main assets are capability to be flexible and react fast to customer needs and conditions. We specialize in customized entities in Rovaniemi, Levi and Ylläs, where we are present on site to ensure the full flow of the program. We differ from travel agencies in that most of our production is our own, which means that our service includes flexibility, proactivity, and the continuity of the service chain.
THE SERVICES
Our program services include for example:
- snowmobile safaris
- ice floating programs
- northern light safaris
- snowshoe safaris
- ice fishing safaris
- visits to husky and reindeer farms
- planning and organizing charter, incentive, and group travels
THE JOB
Estimated duration of work: 15.11.2022 - 31.3.2023 (or as agreed). The job will take place either in Rovaniemi, Ylläs or in Levi. We hope you are customer service oriented, social, and energetic.
WHAT ARE THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS?
- fluent English
- driving license (B class)
WHAT DO WE EXCEPT FROM YOU?
- good customer service skills
- skills to cope with fast-changing environment and under pressure
- flexibility
- positive attitude towards work and work team
WHAT IS CONSIDERED AS AN ADVANTAGE WHEN APPLYING?
- previous experience working as a guide
- previous experience in hospitality and/or tourism
- education in hospitality and/or tourism sector
- experience in snowmobiling
- other languages, especially French, Dutch, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese
- good knowledge of Ylläs or Levi and surroundings
- skills in photographing
- hygiene pass
- first aid skills
