Responsibilities

 Analyse and prepare project specifications for construction, conversion and modification of vessels, lifting appliances, stingers and pipelay equipment in co-operation with other departments

 Prepare design calculations (and reports) for all structural design work within scope, budget and schedule

 Identify the risks and consequences of the vessel or equipment related to the strength/ stability/safety/class approval, etc.

 Perform detailed calculations using FEM analysis

 Prepare plans and procedures for the installation and inspection of equipment and discuss these procedures with the project team and the offshore personnel responsible for the execution

 You are creative and stress-resistant, takes initiative and have analytic skills

 You will report to your Department Head and will liaise with project teams, subcontractors, crew, clients and certification authorities

Requirements

 BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical, Civil or Aerospace Engineering

 1-3 years’ relevant work experience. Preferably in the Off-shore sector.

 Able to work well in a high pressure environment

 Self-starter with creative and analytical skills

 Good command of the English language, both written and spoken

 Willingness to work offshore occasionally
