Company Description:
Our client a Building & Civil Engineering Company, operating throughout Ireland. They currently have a requirement for a Site Engineer/Site Manager with 2/3 years Civils' experience for a long-term contract in Lucan, Dublin Airport and Ennis.
Reporting to Contracts Manager you will be responsible for:
" Liaise with Senior Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Supervisors, H&S Officers, Procurement and Sub-Contractors
" Assist CM/PM and QS in checking Employers Requirements/Cost Proposal Compatibility.
" Liaise with the site team.
" Check sub-contractors/design drawings for compliance and interface.
" Distribute, file, and record the drawing movements including all s/s and connected drawings.
" Regularly inspect site to ensure design is being adhered to.
" Carry out Site Safety inspections, and keep site safety records up to date
" Carry out toolbox talks
" Report on the effectiveness of the design team and design sub-contractor.
" Liaise with the M&E Co-ordination to ensure compatibility of building and services.
" Attend client meetings.
" Compile, record and manage information-required documents.
" Report on the design in line with cost meetings.
" Undertaking setting out tasks including monitoring and setting levels
" Performing QAQC checks
Candidate Requirements:
" 3rd Level Degree in Civil Engineering - preferred, but not essential - Site Managers with Civils experience considered, and also Graduate Civil Engineers
" 2/3 years Site Civils experience - preferred
" Proven understanding of design drawings and maintaining drawing registers
" Good time management skills & ability to meet deadlines
" To be highly motivated, enthusiastic, and organised.
" Excellent IT Skills with good working knowledge of AutoCAD (or similar) and MS Office (Project, Excel, and PowerPoint)
" Excellent attention to detail
" Good team player
Salary and Benefits:
Salary 35-50K DOE
