Company Description:
Our client is a medium sized building construction and civil engineering company located in Dublin, with the ability to carry out project's country-wide.
From small one-off domestic projects to large industrial units, their business model caters for the entire spectrum. They engage with industry experts to ensure design, safety, quality, and sustainability are the key features of a finished project.
They are currently looking for an experienced Setting Out Engineer for a live project in Drogheda, consisting of Social Housing Units, remaining duration 18 months approximately.
This could be on a permanent or specific contract, or week to week contract.
Responsibilities to include:
" Supervise the setting out, levelling, and surveying the site,
" Overseeing all engineering aspects,
" Check plans and drawings to ensure all calculations are accurate,
" Providing progress reports for the site management team & clients,
" Regular use of AutoCAD to check on site dimensions,
" Taking levels for the construction of a structural steel frame, finishing concrete, drainage services and roadways etc.
" Consulting with sub-contractors & site managers
" Deliver the works safely and to deadline,
" Ensure work is delivered defect/snag free,
" Endeavor to spot and highlight value engineering opportunities,
" Establish and promote EHS awareness on site,
Candidate Requirements:
" Degree in Engineering or Land surveying is required,
" MINIMUM 2 years' experience in Setting out on construction sites,
" Experience working on commercial / residential projects desired,
" Experienced in the use of instruments (total station, GPS, and laser level) for the purposes of setting out and gathering information,
" Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
" Sound knowledge of construction methods, health & safety, Environmental and legal regulations,
" AutoCAD experience
" Self-driven and results-oriented with a positive outlook,
" Valid Safe Pass, Manual handling
" Full Driving Licence
Salary and Benefits:
45-60K DOE
Company vehicle and fuel card are included
