Services Project Manager
Are you looking for an opportunity to collaborate globally and use all your expertise in a services position, where you assume end-to-end responsibility of our service offering? Then join one of the world’s largest electronics companies in a position where you keep an eye on new IT hardware and software solutions.
Make a difference – join Schneider Electric Schneider
Electric is a global frontrunner in energy solutions and management with more than 170.000 employees in 100 countries. We take up a leadership position in utilities, intelligent systems and solutions for data and communications, helping individuals and organisations make the most of energy.
You work out of Kolding, Denmark, in a global role, to support all new hardware developments. You represent Services in the entire organisation and collaborate broadly with product development team members on specifications of our service offering and Service Offer Managers about the roadmap and deadlines of a specific product offer.
Secure the future service business
Your overall responsibility is to secure the future service business in terms of growth and profitability. Thus, you aim to maximise the Services sales through excellent product design and associated software while you minimise Services costs by keeping our operations simple and efficient. To do so, you have a major role in specifying the Services requirements and preparing the introduction of the equipment.
Support hardware developments
Specifically, before we release hardware products to sales you partake in all service related topics during the developing phase - from the definition of the Services offerings to the creation of SKUs and Services procedures over business evaluation and product design specifications. You monitor serviceability, participate in safety meetings and look into spare parts availability, just as you partake in ensuring that our technicians are trained. Thus, you take charge of service deliverables within a program – most often related to three-phase UPS products – and you:
•Define the service offering for any new hardware product in design and the service requirements for both hardware and software applications to be integrated into the product design
•Follow the design process and participate in product design reviews to ensure serviceability and adherence to service design standards
•Assist in the creation and review of training materials to field support functions and help design and implement training plans including the number of Field Service Engineers to be trained
•Review product documentation to ensure accurate translation of technical information and that best practice is followed during installation, operation, maintenance and service of hardware products
Many career opportunities and focus on development
At Schneider Electric we want the best employees. That is why we do not compromise on education and personal development, and we work targeted and structured with educational plans from day 1. As Services Lead you will constantly develop your professional competencies and have focus on your personal development.
Technical experience and knowledge of international project and product management
•You hold a technical degree and 5+ years of relevant technical experience, ideally from a Data Centre environment
•You know of international program/project and product management as well as IT technology and trends – and a services background from ITB or any other mature industry would be a plus
•You are a well-versed communicator, who is able to establish a network with all development resources in the product lines of business
•You are comfortable working in a multicultural environment
•You speak and write English fluently
Personally, you are a leader, who is comfortable both being challenged and challenging others. Thus, you succeed because of your strong personality, and your ability to build trusting relationships and justify your decisions.
