Senior Power Electronics Engineer – Technical Responsible
Job description
Within a project / product team, you will be required, in the context of on board space / launcher applications, to ensure the coordination of all technical activities occurring during the entire life cycle of an equipment. You ensure the supervision of the design and development team working on the equipment in close collaboration with the Project Manager and with the support of experts.
Main activities
- Manage all the technical aspects of projects from proposal to the delivery of the product to the client
- Participate to the implementation of the development plan and assessment of the risks
- Specify the technical means that are required during the development process
- Entrust the technical team with development and design validation activities
- Be the technical interface with the customer
- Participate to all internal project reviews within the company, and external reviews with the customers
- Perform electrical specification and system studies
- Define the architecture, product breakdown in elementary functions
- Perform comparative studies of solutions, within the framework of optimal need-cost analysis
- Validate electrical schematics and their behaviour during simulation
- Write and/or validate Reports, Design jutifications and various descriptive documents
- Decide on possible breadboard or prototype validation
- Analyse and criticize the design robustness (Worst Case analysis, Failure Mode and effet analysis, Part stress analysis,…)
- Follow-up the industrial development process of the module and/or product
- Write and/or validate Test specifications
- Manage and support test technicians
- Analyse and interpret test results
PROFILE
- Master’s in Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Excellent knowledge in Power Electronics and Power converters technologies (buck, boost,..).
- Excellent knowledge of discrete design techniques (transistor level)
- Excellent knowledge of converters topologies designs techniques
- Excellent knowledge of regulation loops, stability, rejection, efficiency, etc…
- Excellent knowledge of EMC aspects, Microcap and Simetrix/Simplist simulators.
- Excellent knowledge of design robustness, worst case and part stress analysis of the components
- Good experience in an electronic lab environment
- Autonomous, ability to prioritize a workload, rigorous and inventive.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Respect planning and ability to work to deadlines, a high attention to cost optimization and client satisfaction.
- Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written. French or Dutch is an asset.
