Privacy Analyst
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Privacy Analyst to join SITA’s office in Barcelona. This role is ideal for a privacy professional eager to develop expertise in data protection, risk management, and compliance while working in a dynamic, international environment.
As a Privacy Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with Privacy by Design principles, managing privacy risks, and supporting data protection initiatives across SITA’s products and services. Your focus will be on data governance, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance, ensuring the organization adheres to global data protection standards.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Data Protection & Compliance:
- Support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of SITA’s privacy and data protection program.
- Conduct privacy risk assessments and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) for SITA’s products, services, and third-party engagements.
- Ensure compliance with global data protection regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable frameworks.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of data governance policies, ensuring robust audit trails and regulatory documentation.
- Risk Management & Monitoring:
- Track privacy risks, mitigation strategies, and compliance gaps, escalating concerns to the Data Privacy Technical Manager when necessary.
- Monitor and analyze privacy metrics, KPIs, and dashboard reporting to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Support privacy incident response and data breach reporting in alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work cross-functionally with legal, IT, security, and business teams to ensure privacy requirements are effectively embedded into operations.
- Act as a key liaison between the Global Privacy Office and technical teams, providing guidance on privacy-enhancing technologies and risk-based measures.
- Represent SITA in discussions with internal stakeholders and the broader privacy community.
- Privacy Training & Awareness:
- Deliver privacy training and awareness programs, ensuring teams understand privacy risks and best practices.
- Promote Privacy by Design principles across business units to enhance data protection strategies.
EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in a privacy, compliance, or data protection role within a data-driven organization.
- Strong understanding of global data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, ePrivacy Directive).
- Hands-on experience with OneTrust, PowerBI, and privacy-related dashboard creation & reporting.
- Strong ability to analyze and manage privacy risks, compliance documentation, and audit processes.
- Experience in data governance, security controls, and privacy-enhancing technologies is an advantage.
- Ability to prioritize workload effectively and work independently while collaborating across multiple teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex privacy concepts clearly.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude, problem-solving mindset, and eagerness to learn.
