Principal Environmental Scientist - EIAR Manager
This is an excellent opportunity for a Principal Environmental Scientist/ EIAR Manager to join a thriving, expanding team and work as an integral member of the Environmental Science team. You can be based in either Dublin or Cork with the option for remote working also.
This position offers exposure to a broad range of areas within the waste management, infrastructure development and environmental sectors, including, but not limited to, planning and EIAR, waste licensing and permits, Industrial Emissions licensing, and environmental due diligence. This role also offers the successful candidate a clear path for career development to Associate and Director positions.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Educated to degree level in a relevant environmental discipline
- A minimum of 12 years post-graduate experience in an environmental position
- Chartered status in relevant discipline
- Excellent knowledge of planning, environmental and waste management legislation
- Proven track record in project management and contribution to the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports, planning and licence/permit applications for a wide range of projects
- Team and client management experience essential
- Excellent attention to detail
- Be flexible and a good team player
- Excellent report writing and technical reviewing skills
- Experience of engaging with external stakeholders, regulatory bodies and sub-contractors
- A full driver licence
The Principal Environmental Scientist will, amongst other things, be responsible for:
- Leading and managing project teams reporting to a Director,
- Project management and coordination of Environmental Impact Assessments, Strategic Environmental Assessments, Appropriate Assessments, planning application documentation and other environmental reports
- Provide expert environmental technical assistance to the business
- Actively participate in the delivery of business development initiatives
- Manage the implementation of regulatory approvals
