Pipefitter/tig-welder

Job description

Pipe fitter, tig welder- fitter for the placement of industrial pipes, (stainless steel mainly, but also steel and galva) at various sites in West Flanders; East Flanders region to Ghent and the Mouscron region.

Job-related competences

- coordinate the activities of a team

- Perform welding work according to a process :tungsten inert gas (tig)

-Make a mould for pipe elements (dimensional, geometric,...)

-Carry out connections, disconnections or venting of piping.

-Prepare and adjust fittings, welds and screw joints

-Recording data for production and quality monitoring (faults, interventions, etc.)

-Cutting out elements and bringing them into the right shape and size by folding, bending, burning, etc.

-pre-assembling, connecting and fixing pipes and fittings (sections, fittings, bends, etc.)

-Making repairs or changes to pipes (cleaning, dismantling parts, cutting sections, etc.)

-Determine the operations to be carried out and the materials and elements required based on technical files, plans, etc.

-Check the leak tightness of the sections, pipe and installation and make the necessary adjustments

-Working with materials: Inox

-Working on types of pipes: Low pressure pipes

-Working with materials: Ferrous metals (cast iron, steel, ...)

-Working on types of pipes: Large-diameter pipes

-Notating the sizes and dimensions on the materials and carrying out the necessary markings

-Working on types of pipes: High-pressure pipes

-Recording changes to an installation (elements to be removed, added and replaced)

-Drafting or modifying plans (dimensioning, positioning, etc.)
