Organic Chemist
Description: You will be working as an organic chemist in a start-up company.
You will be responsible for your own synthesis projects and have to execute and evaluate analytical analysis using different equipment. One of the main challenges is to be innovative and creative with regarding the execution of the synthesis.
Experience in a chemical laboratory is required and you should be familiar with the methods and processes of organic chemistry.
Requirements:
- Master or PhD degree in Organic Chemistry.
- Willing to live and work in the Netherlands.
- Willing to work on flexible hours
- You should master the English language in speaking and writing.
- Ability to perform a broad range of organic synthesis reactions.
- Good understanding of the basic lab practice and must have practical experience in organic synthetic chemistry. More than >3 years hands on Laboratory Experience (recent).
- Ability to analyze reactions and understand the analytical spectra (LC-MS, GC-MS, FTIR, 1H,13C NMR)
- Highly motivated candidate, with a strong commitment to laboratory work, project delivery and further learning.
- Experienced PC-user, skilled in the use of various chemistry related software packages such as Scifinder/ Reaxys/ Mestrenova.
- You should be familiar with REACH and have a basic understanding about the toxicity of chemical groups Profile

Languages English (primary) Dutch German
Wage As a start-up we have based our wage system in order to motivate our employees.
Every employee will work for the minimum wage and based on the performance/ delivery of final products the employees will be rewarded.
The reward is dependent on the difficulty of the synthetic route, the number of steps, and whether the product is delivered in-time.
