Nurses (free Norwegian-course in Spain)

Vestfold county is situated a short drive from Oslo south-west. Among the many advantages of living in Vestfold, we could mention our beautiful coast-line and our regional airport Sandefjord Lufthavn Torp with a number of international destinations.

Horten Kommune (Horten municipality) is in charge of this pilot-project. The project involves all municipalities in Vestfold county. You will find the project description in the latter part of this document.

Skills:

- Completed higher education as nurse

- Preferable some years experience as nurse

- Able to speak understandable English, and to receive information in English - written and orally

Working hours: Full time in one of the municipalities in Vestfold county

Salary: Annual start salary (gross): 420.000 NOK (about 45.000 euro) + bonuses for working evening, nights and weekends

Important information:

- Unemployed Spanish nurses will be offered a 1 year free Norwegian course for nurses in Spain. Exact location will be decided when the list of participants is made to locate the course where the participants live.

- The course will qualify to work both in the municipalities and in hospitals

- The training will consist of several classes a week (totally 600 hours) combinded with e-learning

- The training will end by accomplishing an exam. This exam will be the standardized test of higher level of Norwegian, the Bergentest

- By the end of the course each student will be able to document their language-skills and knowledge of the Norwegian health-sector together with authorization for working as a nurse in Norway given by Norwegian authorities

- With documented skills and authorization you are guarantied full time work with us in Vestfold county. As the training is free for the students, you will accept a contract pointing that you will work for us for minimun 2 years.

- We will cover the cost of applying for authorization for working as a nurse in Norway

We will assist in finding accommodation

A Norwegian EURES-adviser from Vestfold will be presented in Madrid giving information to you "eye to eye" about living and working in Vestfold/Norway and helping you get in contact with the employer online. Remember to register as Vistior, and preferably register your CV with us in the portal.
