ACCOUNT MANAGER, BIOENERGY & GRAIN PROCESSING EUROPE

Join us as our new Account Manager, Bioenergy & Grain Processing Europe

In this role you will be responsible for the commercial development of our European customer base.



You will work in tight coordination with our Technical team, with whom you will understand our customer processes and challenges. 



You will defend our commercial competitiveness while creating further customer value through a consultant sales approach leveraging the full portfolio of Novozymes products and services.

The European Agriculture & Industrial sector is an exciting and dynamic place to work!

We are looking for one motivated candidate to join our Bioenergy & Grain Processing sales team to evolve, expand and explore further the commercial reach of our market-leading products and services, enabling more sustainable and profitable business for the industry.



The successful candidate has a strong commercial acumen coupled with and agile mind-set enabling her/him to identify new opportunities and manage those through a structured and proactive approach. Moreover, she/he can network and communicate in a clear and convincing manner, acting as coordinator of internal and external resources and stakeholders.



In addition, the successful candidate should have the capability of translating the impact of our technology in terms of our customer’s P&L.



In this role you’ll make an impact by:

  • Turning business, industry development and customer needs into sales opportunities and proactively identifying and driving new opportunities in untapped markets
  • Manage commercial projects from idea generation to final stage of implementation, while ensuring our product offerings meet customer, market and competitive demands
  • Establishing and driving accounts in coordination with internal stakeholders (e.g. marketing, supply operations with respect to order handling and accurate demand plans)
  • Developing and maintaining close relationships with customers and keeping a high level of customer ownership and industry focus
  • Developing and managing business anchoring with/for customers and driving Proof-of-Concept execution both commercially & technically - together with your technical colleagues
  • Prospecting for new customers/ applications



To succeed you must hold: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant B2B commercial experience, preferably value based selling. Experience in the Ethanol, Grain Processing or Agricultural industries would be a plus.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English is a requirement and Polish would be a plus
  • Have interpersonal skills to be able to communicate and relate to customers to translate their needs into mutually beneficial solutions and have the confidence and proactivity to build and maintain good relations with the customers
  • Have a B2B commercial focus and growth-oriented mindset, with a passion for tasks related to the sale and promotion of technical products
  • Business management understanding and strategic thinking skills
  • Enjoy interacting within teams, navigating both an internal network of colleagues and external network of partners and customers
  • Be a highly collaborative person with ability to engage people.
  • Have a strong drive, positive mindset, high ability to learn, goal-oriented, well organized, a can-do-attitude and teamwork skills working with colleagues globally
  • Being punctual, hardworking, keep the deadlines etc
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% for both internal and external meetings

Location:

This job will be located at our Swiss office, based in Aesch (BL), but the position include the possibility of home office based in Europe outside the countries where we have a corporate office. So please apply independent of residence in Switzerland.
