.NET Analyst / Developer

For our customer in the Netherlands, we are urgently looking for an experienced .NET Analyst / Developer.



Tasks and responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing development solutions in a client-facing, multi-user and international commercial environment within agreed specified timeframes. The Analyst / Developer reviews operating systems and database applications, and designs platforms, applications or information systems that meet corporate requirements.
• Responsible for analysing change needs, assessing the impact of the change, capturing and documenting requirements and then ensuring that those requirements are delivered whilst supporting the business through the implementation process.
• Provides troubleshooting and 2nd/3rd line support services in the maintenance of Business Applications.
• Liaises with Business Users, colleagues, third Parties and package vendors.
• Provides application services in a cross-border environment (implies that the ICT Analyst/developer may be required and/or requested to delivery these activities internationally)
• Responsible for ensuring overall code development process quality, overseeing deliverables of developer colleagues and liaising with them to improve overall development processes and compliance with the code development policies, guidelines and processes.
• Provide the the client with reliable, stable and secure ICT solutions in accordance with functional specifications and corporate guidelines. To provide the client with a high quality, effective solutions development and business analysis service which balances the needs of the solution users, along with other technical developers and maintainers of the ICT systems, with the needs of the client.

Profile:

• Post-secondary degree in computer science or related field or a combination of related experience and education
• At least five years’ solutions development experience in a client-facing, multi-user and commercial environment (Developer)
• At least three years’ experience in providing a business analysis function or similar and building functional requirements based on the analysis (Analyst).
• At least three years’ experience in analysing business data information and extracting specific data into reports and/or other bespoke formats.
• Development knowledge of Microsoft .NET Technologies; Microsoft Visual Basic .NET 2008 or above; Microsoft Visual C# (C Sharp); Microsoft Active Server Pages.NET (MS ASP.NET) 2.0 or above; Web site design / usability, web services; Windows Applications design / usability; XML(Extensible Markup Language) / HTML(Hyper Text Markup Language); Mobile Application Development
• Good Database knowledge: Good background in database design; Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues and security issues
• SQL Development – ability to write and troubleshoot SQL Code and design ( stored procs, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, constraints ); MS SQL Database Server 2008 or above; DB2 Database Server in an IBM environment, SQL languages: T-SQL(MS SQL), DB2 SQL, Data Access Objects (ODBC, OLE DB, ADO)
• Fluent in English
