maintenance mechanic

At our site in Aalter, you support the production manager with the maintenance and adjustment of machines and equipment. You control the production processes and think along about improvements of the existing and future machinery (5 machines)

You will be specifically responsible for the following:

- Responsible for the daily maintenance of our machines, both curative and preventive, this mainly in the mechanical field.

- Actively thinking along and implementing improvement proposals for our machines and interests.

Profile

- You have followed a technical education (Mechanics / Electromechanics)

- You have experience and a strong interest in production processes and machines

- You can work independently and are hands-on

- You are fluent in Polish and/or Russian and English, notions of German are a strong plus.

- You have a flexible attitude.

Job related competencies

Mechanical parts and systems customised, shaped and adapted to the installation

Perform preventive maintenance of the mechanical equipment (cleaning, lubrication, adjustment, tightening, ...)

Monitoring stock levels, identifying shortfalls

Place orders

Define preventive or corrective maintenance interventions according to the nature of the work (start-up, production change, etc.) or the maintenance history.

Record the follow-up data of interventions and pass on the information to the relevant department

Train and assist operators and technicians in maintenance and adjustment procedures and techniques

Check the operation of the equipment, instrument data (pressure, flow, temperature, etc.) and critical points (wear, lubrication, etc.)

Replace or repair defective mechanical pieces and parts, test and adjust (gearboxes, bearings, sprockets, ...)

Welding mechanical parts and components (arc welding, soldering, etc.)

Ensure the conformity of the operation of the installations (standard settings, safety, environment, etc.)

Provide technical support to the production, quality, maintenance departments, ...

Check the work of suppliers or service providers

Develop and improve maintenance procedures, operating procedures, technical data sheets, monitoring tools, etc.
