
KITCHEN TECHNICIAN
As a Kitchen Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of commercial kitchen equipment, including both electric and gas appliances. This role also involves installing new equipment, repairing leaks, adjusting wiring controls, and replacing defective or outdated parts to ensure the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.

• A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a commercial kitchen environment.
• Excellent soldering and brazing skills, particularly with oxygen/propane.
• Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and follow equipment operation and installation manuals.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair kitchen equipment issues effectively.
• Solid knowledge of electrical theory, practices, and safety standards.
• In-depth understanding of commercial refrigeration principles and practices.
• Possession of a refrigerant transition and recovery certification is required.
• Knowledge of plumbing repair, installation practices, and procedures is an asset.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills, including the ability to log work orders and access task management systems.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take responsibility for the repair and maintenance of assigned equipment.
• A valid driving licence is required.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions effectively.
