JOB TITLE: Junior BI analyst (m/f) Contract : Full time LOCATION: Luxembourg Launched in January 2016, Rakuten Europe Bank continues the diversification of Rakuten in Europe and provides financial services to its members. Rakuten Europe Bank S.A. is a fully licensed credit institution established in Luxembourg and supervised by the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier. The BI Analystwill be involved to participate to the setup of a decisional system based on a Data Warehouse supplied with data collected from the operational system based on the CRM solution for the business application brick, on the Core Banking System (CBS) brick and on the data base solution for the Data Warehouse brick. To be successful the BI Analyst works closely with marketing, sales, customers operations, Risk, and Finance, Compliance to not only support to design state of the art platforms compliant with the Regulation EU 2016/679 (GDPR), but also support to deliver within budget, quality, and schedule. The BI Analyst reports to the BI Managerin charge of Data Governance(solid line) as well as to the functional managersof REB (dotted line). RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES - Research Market Trends: research and analyze market trends using the internet, news, and business publications, conferences. - Determine Business Information Needs: work closely with managementto discuss which information the companycollects from its customers and suppliers and which information would help BU head to make better financial, customer service, and marketing decisions. - Assist with Data Collection and Modeling: Aggregate large volumes of business data for the purpose of identifying information discrepancies or specific reporting, considering business requirements, relationships between data, and benefits and limitations of database technologies. - Analyze and Interpret Data: understand the business's needs and apply an appropriate method for data collection and modeling. Analyze and interpret the results to look for patterns that answer the business's questions and are accurate. - Create Reports and Data Visualizations: create written reports and data visualizations in the form of charts and web dashboard applications to internal supervisors and external partners. TASKS & MAIN OBJECTIVES The BI analyst Developer should be able (technically and functionally) to ensure and participate actively on the below topics - Modelling: o Reverse engineering of the DBs operational via power AMC o Mapping the data flows of the application architecture o Schematization and maintenance of the progression/evolution of the BI architecture o Datamart modeling o BUS implementation: Ensure connectivity between the different dimensions by business processes (Accounting, RISK, COMPLIANCE...) within the Data Warehouse Functional analysis: o Writing of functional specifications o Support for business teams o Reconciliation skills and practice Technical analysis: o Analyze operational applications (CRM, CBS, Data exchange...) o Implementation of new integration flows o Optimize load monitoring o Participate in the implementation of a Dashboard to monitor BI requests Data Integration : o Participation in load optimization o Introduce partitioning approaches o SQL/T-Sql: data cleaning, PS, duplicate management, reconciliation... o Gain skills on SSIS integration flows Reporting: o Implementation of Dataset dedicated to Reporting Services and Tableau o Generating the legal reporting for all business team by department The Bl analyst is dedicated to become the backup of the BI manager and must ensure all his functions in terms of assistance to the business teams (ad hoc reports, legal reporting, data reconciliation, analysis...etc) EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE - Bachelor degree in ComputerScienceor related field (System Engineer, IS Engineer, Information Systems Engineer, IT Engineer, Network Systems Engineer). - 1 to 3 years of experience working in IT or Telecommunication. - Other functional experience - particularly in IT, business strategy, business analysis or finance - is highly desirable and beneficial. - Strong ability to translate stakeholder requirements into technical specification. - Proven experience in DW - English is mandatory. Any other EU language and/or Japanese is an advantage. - Analytical skills combined with target orientated thinking and acting - High energy and creativity, entrepreneurial spirit.
