Geriatric Nursing Qualification

Requirements:

• You are between 23 and 45 years of age;
• You are a national of an EU Member State;
• You have a good intermediate school leaving certificate or a university entrance certificate;
• You have a spotless criminal record;
• You are motivated to complete a dual Vocational Training as nurse with employment in the elderly care, during which you will be studying and working simultaneously;
• You already have initial experiences in caring for the elderly and/or can demonstrate a high degree of motivation for this profession;
• You are willing to complete an intensive German course (previous experiences are not required).

Advantages for the participants:

• German language course in your home country to reach level A2;
• German language course in different cities in Bavaria until the beginning of the Vocational Training in September 2021;
• Employment contract as a geriatric care assistant with a monthly salary of at least 1.900€ gross from February 2021 until passing the final examination as a registered nurse in July 2025;
• Double degree: Vocational Training from September 2021 as a nursing assistant (1 year) and starting in September 2022 as registered nurse (3 years);
• You will get to know your future employer right at the start of the project;
• Intensive support throughout the whole project including the preparation period as well as both parts of the Vocational Training;
• Assistance in finding an apartment;
• You will be part of a group of participants, therefore you won’t be alone at your workplace;
• Bavaria and its surrounding offer different kinds of leisure opportunities such as sport activities or cultural programs.
