Engineer/ Naval architect

A core value at Promek is to constantly develop the vessels we produce, making them safer for the users. We have the entire boat building process under the same roof here at Smøla. Here we carry out all design work, cutting of metal parts, welding, and mechanical installation before we launch the finished boat for completion and testing.

As an engineer with us, you will divide your working time between drawing, constructing, calculating workboats, and participating in the development of new boats.

Our engineers, constructors as we call them, have a varied and challenging working day. In a friendly environment, you can develop into your position and experience the whole process of building aluminum workboats.

We are looking for you who collaborate well, are independent and have an interest in the maritime industry.

Tasks:

Reconstruct boats in 3D environment according to customer requests.

Prepare boat structure and production drawings in 2D.

Develop new hybrid-electric solutions together with your team.

Populate 3D environment with equipment from purchasing list.

Assist with quality control.

Communicate with production line workers and update drawings.

Qualifications as desired:

• Engineer/Naval Architect bachelor's degree.
• Education as a technical draftsman
• Experience is desirable, but recent graduates can also apply.
• Structured and methodical approach.
• English language required, Norwegian appreciated.
• Experience with Autocad is required.
• Experience with Ship-constructor or Rhino is an advantage.

Driving licence
