As an Electronics Engineer, you will be part of the R&D team responsible for designing, developing and validating the electronic circuits and PCBs that power our award-winning audio systems. Your work will directly impact the sound performance, reliability and innovation of Innuos products, crafted with pride in Portugal and enjoyed by music lovers around the world.
You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues from firmware, industrial/product design, quality and manufacturing, creating elegant engineering solutions that elevate both technology and emotion.
And yes, this is Faro, in the Algarve. Expect blue skies, over 300 days of sunshine each year, and that unmistakable touch of sea breeze in the air reminding you that you’re building world-class technology in a place where life still feels balanced.
Your Main Activities
• Design analog and digital electronic circuits with a strong focus on performance, stability and sound quality.
• Develop schematics and PCB layouts (preferably using Altium Designer), optimizing for manufacturability and reliability.
• Select critical components for audio and control circuits.
• Prototype, test and support certification and hardware iterations.
• Validate EMC, thermal performance, signal integrity and overall system functionality.
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical and production teams to ensure seamless integration and consistent quality.
• Produce clear and up-to-date technical documentation.
• Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Profile and Skills to Success
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in electronic circuit design and development.
• Proficiency in schematic and PCB design tools (Altium, KiCAD or similar).
• Solid understanding of analog and digital circuits, A/D conversion, power regulation and communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART).
• Knowledge of power supply design — both linear and switching (LDOs, buck, boost, etc.).
• Hands-on experience in testing and validating PCBs.
• Familiarity with DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFT (Design for Test) practices.
• Basic understanding of low-level firmware and scripting (C, Python or similar).
• Ability to interpret datasheets and comply with technical standards (CE, RoHS, FCC, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative approach, clear communication and proactive ownership.
• Excellent command of English (spoken and written). Portuguese is a plus.

• Passion for sound, music and audio technology.
• Experience in tech companies developing complex physical products.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies or rapid prototyping environments.
• Active participation in technical communities or open-source projects.
