Dutch AI Expert Rater Team Leader- Finland

Description and Requirements

As the Team Leader, you will lead a dynamic team that plays a pivotal role in refining and enhancing AI-powered advertising systems, while your role ensures their success. You will be at the forefront of supporting the creation of exceptional data-driven products in an uncharted domain. Your leadership will drive the team's resourcefulness, adaptability, and innovation as they navigate challenges and shape the future of AI-driven advertising.

Main Responsibilities:

• Mentor, guide, and facilitate the growth of Expert Raters, enabling their proficiency in evaluating advertising content while ensuring adherence to AI compliance standards.
• Effectively manage and coordinate global teams, whether remotely or within an office setting, ensuring seamless operations and communication across different time zones and cultures, while facilitating a culture of learning and exploration within the team.
• Handle administrative tasks, including but not limited to payroll management, PTO (Paid Time Off) requests, and performance reviews for the Expert Rater team, ensuring smooth operations.
• Lead initiatives aimed at improving the quality of evaluations, refining processes, and guaranteeing that Expert Raters meet the highest standards of AI compliance.
• Ensure that all assessments and evaluations conducted by the team align with ethical considerations and compliance with AI standards, regulations, and platform policies.
• Implement strategies to track and monitor the performance of Expert Raters, offering support and guidance to enhance their capabilities and efficiency.
• Provide expertise and guidance in analyzing diverse datasets to help identify meaningful patterns and trends, contributing to accurate evaluations and decisions.
• Collaborate with other Team Leads across all regions to establish and maintain best practices and standardization, ensuring global product strategy is followed by their local teams.

• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop teams, fostering a culture of growth, accountability, and compliance in a global environment.
• Problem-Solving Aptitude: Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges, optimize workflows, and ensure 100% AI compliance.
• Performance Management Expertise: Experience in developing and implementing performance management systems, conducting evaluations, and providing constructive feedback for team enhancement.
• High Emotional Safety: Ability to navigate and resolve disagreements effectively, fostering collaborative solutions among global cross-functional teams. While also able to manage teams that handle queries that can include sensitive or “taboo” content.
• Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication, both written and verbal, to explain evaluations and propose innovative solutions. Able to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
• Familiarity with Annotation Guidelines: Understanding of annotation guidelines and best practices, ensuring consistent and accurate labeling of data.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in an evolving environment, readily adapting to changing processes and contributing valuable insights for process enhancement.

Knowledge:

• Fluent Dutch- Required
• English B2 - Required
  • Oral and written comprehension
  • Appropriate use of language
• Google Workspace- Intermediate
• Familiarity with AI technologies and their ethical implementation in advertising systems, with strong grasp of advertising regulations, platform policies, and privacy laws.
• Awareness of ethical considerations in advertising content evaluation, particularly when handling sensitive or controversial material.
• Google AI learning path - Desirable 
• Machine learning - Desirable
• All applicants must be authorized to work in Finland or have a EU citizenship

Studies & Experience:

• 1 year of University studies - Desirable 
• 1+ years of previous experience in a leadership role, preferably within a technical or data-driven domain. - Required
• Understanding of data labeling, annotation, and evaluation methodologies.- Desirable
• Academic background in any social science or quality role would be a plus
