Chef / Waiter / Toastmaster – The Fjord Farm, Flåm The Fjord Farm is a newly started restaurant / café / bar built around cultural food experiences in an idyllic apple tree garden with a stunning fjord view—just minutes from one of Norway’s busiest tourist destinations, yet feeling calm and remote. We run daily tasting menus and intimate Norwegian folk music concerts, and we host our signature group experience: “Taste of the Fjord” (tasting + storytelling). We are looking for either: Kitchen-focused staff (prep/service) or Front of house staff who can also confidently speak to groups and lead tastings. What you’ll do Help run daily service (restaurant/café/bar) Deliver a warm guest experience and keep high standards Lead or support Taste of the Fjord sessions: present food, guide the group, tell stories, keep the flow Work as part of a small team in a high-season tourism environment We’re looking for someone who Has experience from kitchen, restaurant, bar, hosting or similar Is confident, friendly and calm under pressure Enjoys talking to people and can hold a room (for the host/waiter role) Speaks good English (Norwegian is a bonus) Is reliable, proactive and proud of quality If you want a job where food, culture, nature and hospitality meet—apply and tell us which role you fit best (kitchen or host/waiter) and why.
- Experience from restaurant / café / bar OR kitchen (prep, line, service)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced tourism environment with high standards
- Confident communication with guests and colleagues
- For FOH/Host candidates: able to speak in front of groups and lead a guided tasting with storytelling (“Taste of the Fjord”)
- Service-minded, positive attitude, and able to stay calm under pressure
- Reliable and responsible (shows up on time, follows routines, takes ownership)
- Good English
- Experience as host / toastmaster / guide / tour leader or similar
- Interest in food, local culture, storytelling, and Norwegian traditions
- Barista or cocktail/bar experience
- Experience with tasting menus or set-menu service
- Food safety / hygiene training (HACCP or similar)
- Scandinavian language skills (Norwegian/Swedish/Danish)
- Driver’s license
- Experience with events, concerts, or group bookings
