We are running a cabin / mountain lodge 1100 meters up in the mountain, located in between Jotunheimen and Hardangervidda. We have 52 beds in total, in rooms for 2, 4 and 6 persons. Vi have also 2 rooms for couple or family with dogs.
We are looking for a chef for the summer season (june-september).
Job description
You will be responsible for the kitchen and to make food to all our guests, Local food and Norwegian traditional food. Your tasks:
- Responsible for the kitchen
- Responsible for lunch and dinner servings (no à la carte)
- Responsible for HACCP
- Orders
- Menu planning together with the hosts/managers.
Type of work contract: Seasonal contract:
Summer season from 23d June to 15th September.
Working hours 8-10 hours a day // 40 hours pr week – upon agreement
Salary about NOK 52 000 pr.month (gross) and free board and lodging
Other information Lodging at the cabin. The chef needs to stay at the cabin during the whole season.
- Experience as a cook / chef
- Can work independently and take initiative,
- Cleanliness and HACCP consciousness
- Language: English (higher level) or Norwegian/Scandinavian
- EU or EFTA citizenship, or valid work permit for Norway.
