Would you like to play an instrumental part in developing and producing new children´s LEGO Licensed soft goods? Would you like to be part of a product´s life cycle from initial Post-It-note idea to final products in store across the globe? Bring exciting LEGO Themed products to market In partnership with 2 Business Managers based in USA and London, working alongside a senior designer and 2 other approvals colleagues based in Billund, you will support a range of tasks within planning, developing and producing licensed products. The process often starts with a great idea that the Business Manager gets approved and then you take over. Following this, you: Maintain the overview of products across the category and assist the business manager in setting the best portfolio assortment Obtain approval and plan the production of licensed goods 8-18 months ahead, which includes ensuring that samples comply with LEGO Style Guides and look and feel Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders (primarily our internal design team) to agree on the best solution for the products and packaging Ensure that partners are adhering to our manuals, which set out our minimum quality expectations. Ensuring the LEGO DNA In a culture that is famous for collaboration and creativity, you will be part of building the soft goods licensing portfolio - kid´s apparel (which is largest part of the soft goods portfolio), kid´s bags, kid´s bedding and kid´s costumes. You will be joining a dynamic and international department of 22 people divided between 5 countries. Here, you get to drive, plan and shape our development processes, using your initiative, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit, while looking at how we do things the smartest way. This will give you a thorough understanding of our global operations, which play a significant role in enabling our mission of inspiring and developing the builders of tomorrow. Experience with children´s apparel and coordinating expertise The challenge here is knowing when to negotiate and when to accept, in order to land a great solution between external partners, internal designers and our quality department. Thus, we look more to your product experience with children’s apparel in particular. However, an education (e.g. a BA) where you have learned to plan and manage processes, take control and work independently is needed. To succeed you may likely currently be working in an apparel product development or account management role. Attractive experience could include: Liaison with merchandisers in the Far East to ensure samples & production meet client requirements as well as travel to factories for factory checks , production progress and to build relations face to face Has worked with design teams to ensure samples produced are of the highest quality. Knowledge of fabric sourcing and planning for the season. Knowledge of design critical path. Working in conjunction with design to develop directional, yet commercial market leading kids licensed product. Selecting the right supplier and production techniques to fulfil the design brief. Used to working with in house and supplier graphic designers on artwork concepts and cad approvals. Understanding of product finesse – management of the production process, approving lab dips, through to fitting, sealing, and approving production garments. Communicating clearly with the supplier on required standards, product and production improvements where necessary. Proficient in childrenswear product regulations, and has worked alongside a technical team to ensure that all products meet legal requirements. Licenced product management Understanding of development of trims and fabrics with factories Knowledge of Factory negotiations - prices, minimums, production issues and quality. Has worked with licensing teams to ensure submits are up to the licensor´s standards, and to gain understanding of each licensors requirements And finally, the potential candidate will be comfortable making tough decisions and know when and how to put your foot down in a gentle manner and speak and write English effortlessly Join the global LEGO Family In the LEGO Group, we succeed together, and you will be part of a global family where you can use your creativity and enjoy a fun working environment.
