What is Apacta?

We provide construction companies with state of the art technology to help them run a more successful business. We’re self-funded and the product/market-fit is in place, now we need you to help us to take our product to the next level. We’re on a mission to make every construction project a success for all participants.

We have been building a SaaS platform since 2015 that consists of a web frontend and mobile apps - and we put great effort into continuously upgrading our tech stack.

What we are looking for

A TypeScript expert who enjoys solving complex problems with simple solutions. Part of being successful in this role is being involved in the product development process with our product management team, and taking part in select product discovery processes to make sure what we’re planning to build is technically feasible.

We’re looking for someone that would like to be a big part of a small team and truly agree in our philosophy of doing great things with a small but high bandwidth team. That means we’re always looking for a simpler way to do things the right way.

Skills you will need

  • Knowledge of the web frontend stack
  • Knowledge of TypeScript, HTML and CSS
  • Technical leadership
  • Will to push forward our frontend tech stack and continuously evaluate if we should adapt new technologies, tooling or processes
  • Strong written English skills - we communicate internally in English

  • Any of the following technologies:
    • Ionic
    • Angular
    • Capacitor
    • Progressive Web Apps (PWA)
  • Building a SaaS product
  • Being part of a product team
  • Working asynchronously
  • Building prototypes as part of product discovery
  • “Hybrid” web apps on iOS/Android
  • Conversational level in Danish (to take part of product discovery with Danish end users)

What we will be doing together

Solving complex problems with simple solutions is tricky - but it’s the core of what we do.

You will be part of the entire development lifecycle from planning what areas we should focus on to making sure the code changes are launched successfully to our customers. We’re using a REST API to communicate with our backend, and we’re taking advantage of fully automated CI/CD pipelines - even to mobile apps. We’re always looking to make yet another incremental improvement to our process or product, and we’re looking forward to continuing improving based on your experience and feedback. You will be reporting directly to the CTO.

In your first few weeks you would probably:

  • Facilitate technical debt prioritization in the team
  • Implement improvements to existing features to improve the UX
  • Participate in code reviews

After a few months you will probably:

  • Collaborate with product management to plan the next big improvement in our frontend
  • Change some of our processes for the better based on your onboarding and/or feedback
  • Enable us to validate ideas even faster with prototypes
  • Start discussing areas like architecture, test strategies and code quality with the team

Our hiring process

We want to keep things simple and short, but we also want to make sure it’s a perfect match for both parties, so here is our recruitment process.

  1. 15-30 min screening video-call for mutual expectation levelling
  2. 45-60 minutes tech-focused discussion about a take-home assignment
  3. 60 minute informal conversation about you, the role, the team and everything in-between
  4. Closing the deal - agree on start date, compensation and other practical details
