Nestled atop a cliff overlooking the islands of Panarea and Stromboli, Capofaro Resort is a spectacular wine estate in the Aeolian Islands, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Sicily.
A Relais & Châteaux property, it counts 26 rooms and suites - scattered across the grounds and immersed within lush vineyards - with their bright minimal design, whitewashed surfaces and shadowy patios overlooking the placid expanse of the Mediterranean sea dotted by other islands: the very expression of the Aeolian architectural style. Five are located in the old guardian’s lodging beside the still operational historical lighthouse.
At the core of the estate a swimming pool framed by vineyards, a quaint lil pinewood, the restaurant and the bar terraces. In the kitchen the Chef creates fine dishes using ingredients from the local gardens.
Capofaro is tailor-made for oenophiles with a curated programme of tastings and pairings showcasing Sicilian fine wines in the Club House. The Cocktail Terrace Bar becomes alive for memorable sundowners, and the newly added Secret Garden with its Karobar is a must visit destination for informal F&B moments immersed in the vineyard.
Capofaro is also wellness, yoga and holistic treatments, and a wide array of adventures by land and by sea.
