About the workplace

One of Sweden’s biggest and most secure psychiatric clinic is located in Vaxjö. The clinic receives forensic psychiatric-assessed patients from all over Sweden, as well as patients from the prison service who need specialist psychiatric care in a high-security environment. The clinic is a national leader as it is the clinic that helps the rest of the psychiatric clinics to care for patients who are in need of the highest security and top specialist care.

As the clinic has been in Vaxjö for more than 120 years, there is a proud tradition of working with us. We have over 600 employees and approximately 125 patients. It is an attractive workplace that invests a lot in the work environment and training. The clinic has Sweden’s largest forensic psychiatric research unit, which means that it leads development and drives research for the whole country.

The clinic maintains a good working environment and good working conditions. As a nurse in forensic psychiatry, a supplement is added to your salary every month, which is exclusively paid to those who work in forensic psychiatry. We offer individualized inductions and healthy working hours where we do not mix day and night work.

Swedish language education

Candidates who are offered and accept employment will receive paid language tuition in preparation for relocation to Sweden.
