As application engineer you prepare ship designs and adapt them to different customer requirements, prepare specifications and calculate costs through close collaboration with other departments and external partnersPreparation of designs, technical specifications and delivery in the context of pre-qualification, tender offers, offers and presentations, taking into consideration current market changes, delivery terms and exchange rates

  •  Consultation with many parties in order to achieve an optimized design (other departments, suppliers, subcontractors etc.)
  • Monitor progress in the pre-sales phase;
  • Setting up project planning (milestones), determine cost price additional/less work, preparation of list of deviations, list of producers and other customerspecific information.

PROFILE 

  • Master degree in Naval Architecture
  • At least 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • o CFD software
  • o 2D/3D software (Microstation, Rhino)
  • o Hydrodynamics
  • o Structural design
  • o Pontoons & barges
  • o Tugs
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); Willing to learn Dutch
  • Accurate, good organization skills
  • Good communication skills, customer-oriented
