Team Lead – Primary Structures

Join us and become our new Team Lead in the Primary Structures team. The team is part of the Structural Design department which is responsible for designing foundations and substructures for offshore wind turbine projects. The department is part of Wind Power which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility You will be part of the daily management group of our Structural Design department where you will head the Primary Structures team which houses the engineers designing mainly monopiles and jackets. Your main tasks will include ensuring the best conditions for the team, and that competences and tools are developed and combined in the most efficient way. In your capacity as engineer, you will also take part in technical work as well as some project management tasks. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: •maintain resource plans •manage updates and development of design briefs •participate in defining department strategy and development •ensure timely delivery to projects •participate in engineering tasks. Your profile You have a degree in mechanical engineering, construction engineering or in physics. You have management experience, preferably within offshore wind. Your experience has given you a good overview of offshore foundation structures and their behaviour. You are able to discuss both technical and strategic aspects with team members, project management and line management. You have good people and communication skills, and a pragmatic and a structured way of working. As team members are located both in Skærbæk and in Gentofte, you have a strong ability to enhance the feeling among team members of being part of the Primary Structures team.
