The role

For our rapidly growing Defence business unit, we are now looking for a dedicated and innovative System Engineer who can accelerate the implementation of a completely new product for our customers - SitaWare Aspire. You will be joining a development team that is working to develop smart new product features. SitaWare Aspire is a high-quality digital training platform for the defence domain. It enables users to ‘train as you fight’, and is a cost-efficient product for our customers. Your daily tasks will involve:

  • Designing and implementing high-quality integrations between existing defence products and the Learning Management System.
  • Implementing best practices and finding optimum solutions with the other team members.
  • Troubleshooting, optimising, and solving complex problems in an existing codebase.

Who you are:

  • You preferably hold an MSc in Computer Science, Engineering or similar. However, if you hold a BSc degree, do not let this hold you back from applying. 
  • You preferably have two years of experience from a similar role – ideally from the Defence domain, but this is not a requirement.
  • You possibly have experience with DevOps and Infrastructure, and you might have tried your hand at building environments, deployment pipelines etc.
  • It is a must that you have experience with some parts of the tech stack. You are familiar with Java, Angular and TypeScript. You might also have heard about DevOps or other technologies that will benefit the team.
  • As a person you work independently, take responsibility and you are dedicated to your work. You want to grow and learn and have ambitions for your career.
  • Working in Scrum teams based on the agile methodologies is part and parcel of your working life. 
  • As we are an international company, you are comfortabel communicating in English.
