As a System Engineer, you will be involved in projects in a customer or data centre environment, using the latest technologies.
What you excel at every day
✔️ You manage systems, set up servers and provide maintenance;
✔️ You configure and secure servers;
✔️ You set up and control backups and provide monitoring where necessary;
✔️ You are responsible for problem solving at various customers;
✔️ You draw up procedures and automations within our data centres in cooperation with other colleagues and help think about optimizations;
✔️ You solve security risks.
This will fill your rucksack with experience in data centre technologies (VMware, Active Directory, Linux, Windows, databases, security, monitoring tools, back-up, antivirus). How cool isn't this!

✔️ Of course you speak and read fluent English, this is absolutely essential, but we will not ask you to learn Dutch (unless you insist);
✔️You have conceptual understanding and come across as analytically strong;
✔️ You take initiative and enjoy working in a team;
✔️ You communicate clearly and in a structured way with the customer;
✔️ You work meticulously and dot the i's.
✔️ You have experience with Active Directory, DNS & GPOs, Citrix & RDS environments, Office 365 & Powershell Scripting;
✔️ You can additionally handle MS Office and other job-related IT tools.
The following knowledge is an asset:
➕ Linux Server OS (Ubuntu);
➕ Python scripting;
➕ Virtualisation platforms such as VMware (vSphere, vSAN, vROPS);
➕ Experience with MS SQL Server and MySQL;
➕ Knowledge or experience with monitoring systems (SNMPv3, IPMI, ...);
➕ A good basic knowledge of networking and TCP/IP;
➕ Load balancers (Citrix ADC , Nginx, ...).
What can you expect?
We offer an open-ended contract, but the options are up to you:
1) you go all the way and come to live and work in Belgium;
2) you come to Belgium for 6 to 12 months to really get to know the job content, the colleagues and the customer environment. Afterwards, you go back to your (European) country and continue your job remotely;
3) you work entirely remotely from your own (European) country.
A full-time job with competitive salary package (range between 2100 and 3000 euros) according to your experience).
