System Architect / Consultant – Global Smart Automation Systems

Do you have solid IT competences, and are you experienced within the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) area? Then we have an opening in the Danfoss Drives department for a System Architect to take part in modernising and rolling out a new MES platform globally in the Danfoss Drives organisation. You will join an experienced team of nine dedicated colleagues in our Global Supply Chain Smart Automation Systems department managing the pioneering task of aligning and making our global system scalable. The position is located in Gråsten and entails up to 20 travel days per year, due to the international character of the position. Design, development and alignment Your overall mission will be to participate in defining the future Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and in rolling out/implementing the new platform as well as providing support to the global Danfoss Drives manufacturing footprint (DK, US, CN, IN, FN). Interacting with users/customers on all levels, you will understand basic system requirements, and through your experience with MES, you will implement solutions that fit the business needs and optimise the work on the production floor while ensuring a global and scalable platform. Your main responsibilities will be to: •Support the global manufacturing footprint and perform advanced system analysing •Conduct system change management •Create use case descriptions by translating business requirements to robust system solutions and advise internal users on system potential •Design and run MES solutions for new production areas/lines •Participate in high-level development tasks/system customisation •Secure coordination with other System Architect colleagues within other areas •Explore future technologies like Industry 4.0 topics Global mind-set and experience with SAP ME platform You hold a BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent and have solid working experience with an MES platform (preferable the SAP ME/MII platform). Moreover, you are up to date on state-of-the-art solutions/functionalities within the area of MES solutions, preferably obtained from working in a manufacturing/logistic environment. On a more personal note, you are a team player with a holistic and global mind-set and you have excellent communication skills within written and spoken English and Danish.
