With the objective to maintain our leading position in the market we are recruiting Support & Development Engineer. As health and safety are our first priority, you will act as an example in a heavy industrial environment.
As a young engineer you will be integrated within the team of production engineers. By involvement in projects, you will be working together on the startup and/or development of new solutions enabling the deployment of new technologies. You will be encouraged to improve the production processes and work closely together with maintenance colleagues.
Your role
- You will be in charge of the development and optimization of plant components, processes in steel production and their further processing with regard to quality, costs and scheduling;
- You will actively participate in the further development of our product materials;
- You will play a key role in the prevention and elimination of process problems in serial production and new start-ups;
- You will be responsible for data collection and statistical evaluation as well as logging of results;
- You will take care of the production of operating and work instructions as well as other documents to support production.

Your profile
- You completed or will successfully complete a Master degree (civil engineer) (Electro)Mechanics, Electronics;
- You already acquired some knowledge in the field of automation technology as well as in the area of statistical process control - Knowledge of development, simulation and database software as well as (E) CAD knowledge will be a competitive advantage;
- You have practical experience at the interface between development and production - ideally in the area of steel production;
- Your drivers are the willingness to learn, as well as a cooperative and self-responsible way of working characterized by analytical thinking;
- You are motivated to travel and to integrate an international and multi-disciplinary team working in different countries;
- In this context, English as a communication language with customers, services providers and collaborators within the group is essential.
