Structural Design Engineer (182414)

For our Nacelle Team in the Technology Department we are looking for a bright structural engineer who can be a further enrichment of our team. The Nacelle Team consists of highly dedicated and skilled mechanical and structural engineers and is responsible for the structural and mechanical designs within the nacelle. Components and systems under design responsibility are canopy, platforms, Service cranes, cable and pipe routing, stairs and ladders and nacelle layout.

What are my responsibilities?

· Working with advanced FEA (Finite Element Analysis) - primarily steel and cast iron components but also some aluminum · Loads and validation of the nacelle structure · Certification · Field data analysis and design validation · Structural integrity of the nacelle · Working with R&D tasks in a cross organizational matrix groups and your stakeholders will be CAD designers, generator and electrical departments, tower, loads and control, the project organization and test department

What do I need to qualify for this job?

· You hold a Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and have actual experience with FEA · You possess high analytical skills together with a practical understanding meaning you can conduct a turbine component validation by comparing field data with theoretical results · You are outgoing and proactive · You can work both independently and in teams · You are structured and innovative, and your approach to task solving is both technically sound and commercially viable · You have good communication and English skills both orally and in writing In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
