Inviting you to our team:

The Turnkey & Offshore Projects section is responsible for the execution of projects within the Subsea & Land Systems (SLS) Business Group – supply and full turn-key projects, including project management, engineering, type testing, manufacturing, installation works as well as the cable laying and protection.

  • The Turnkey & Offshore Projects section is divided into four departments – this particular position is reporting to the Team leader of AC XLPE & DC Extruded Cable Systems
  • The Specialist Engineer has the responsibility for leading and performing assigned engineering scope in one or more projects – such as feasibility studies/FEED, supply of cable or full turnkey projects
  • The matrix organization of the projects requires good communication skills to ensure good information flow across different disciplines.

We need bright minds to:

  • Lead the packages for the cable / umbilical / DEH delivery at all stages from design to delivery / installation.
  • Ensure that project engineering and SOW is delivered according to contract and internal guidelines.
  • Ensure that the engineering process is in accordance with the Project Execution Modell
  • Be responsible for internal and external interfaces within his /her discipline. 
  • Follow up the project engineering budget for his / her discipline; follow up cost vs progress/time schedule.
  • Support the process to obtain an as optimal project engineering as possible, including identifying and controlling risks and opportunities.
  • Facilitate engineering status meetings for his / her discipline and report Engineering status/progress to Project Manager / Engineering Manager.
  • Report Engineering status to the Team Leader on regular basis.
  • Ensure effective use of the resources within the engineering teams.

Your starting point when joining Nexans:

Professional skills, qualifications and experience:

  • University degree BSc, MSc or similar in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge in project engineering systems and tools.
  • Fluent in English – oral and written.
  • Experience as Lead Engineer, Engineering Manager or similar in large international turnkey projects in EPCI organizations.
